Dave is an expert researcher and resolver of problems related to Windows server and application environments. In addition to helping his clients and people who email him out of the blue with questions, he's been relied on as a subject matter expert by half a dozen major technical publishers, with projects that include serving as technical editor for the following books:

Inside Windows 2000 Server , by Bill Boswell

Windows 2000 Security , by Roberta Bragg
Inside Windows 2003 Server , by Bill Boswell

Most recently Dave created the Exchange 2007 Training video series for Trainsignal, a twenty-one hour course made up of hands-on, real world scenarios that cover most of what someone would need to install, configure and manage an Exchange 2007 Server.

Microsoft Most Valued Professional

Microsoft Small Business Specialist
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
Cisco Certified Network Associate

Dave has pleased many small and midsized business owners over the last three years with his solutions and service, and has lent a welcome hand to many technical consultants who needed a savvy partner to complete some complex projects. Most of the projects he's worked on recently have involved Windows Small Business Server 2003, but there have also been opportunities to work on large-scale Exchange 2003 deployments and implement several different Windows Mobile messaging solutions.

Dave spent close to two years as a technical trainer delivering Windows Server technology classes to employees on the campuses of Hewlett Packard, Intel, Ford Motor Company and other Fortune 500 corporations. His grasp of network architecture and troubleshooting methodologies, combined with his teaching skill, brought him regular invitations to instruct.

For seven years Dave was a Systems/Network Analyst for a Fortune 500 company, where he built and maintained an NT 4.0/Windows 2000/2003 based data-warehousing network. In addition, he designed and implemented mail, name resolution, and authentication services for a new business unit. Implementing and maintaining six different corporate web sites with a clustered SQL back-end was also part of his responsibility. He handled local network security oversight and participated in several generations of implementation. In a managerial role, Dave led a desktop support team for a 200-user office.

Microsoft Most Valued Professional

Due to the consistency and demonstrated expertise of his contributions, he has been repeatedly honored by Microsoft with the MVP designation. This award brought him into a close partnership with the Exchange Server and Small Business Server product groups, as well as with other MVPs, and has only enhanced his ability to offer solutions to thorny problems while other consultants have to rely on conventional support channels.
